Itinerary: NYC Long Weekend

This NYC itinerary comes from our recent visit over Veteran’s Day Weekend in November. Alex and I spent 4 days and 3 nights in New York City, and had an amazing time! We stayed in Times Square at the Knickerbocker and tried to visit some of the “classic” tourist sights in the city. NYC Itinerary: 4 days, 3 nights

Day 1: Friday, November 9

7:06am               Train leaves Kingston, RI

10:19am             Arrive at Penn Station in NYC

10:45am             Arrive at hotel (early check in or leave bags)

The Knickerbocker

11am                 Take subway to 9/11 Memorial and Museum

11:30am            Arrive inside the “Oculus”

Note: The ‘Oculus’ is the One World Trade Center Transportation Hub with cool modern architectural design and also has shops and fast-casual restaurants inside

Explored the Oculus and the area around the world trade center with tons of street art, including the 9/11 memorial pools

1pm                    National September 11 Memorial and Museum

Friday Hours: 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. (7 p.m. last entry)

3pm                   Walk to Wall Street and the New York Stock Exchange

Note: Walked down to the NYSE while it was open on Friday afternoon and Alex made a trade on his phone to say he made a trade on Wall Street

3:30pm              One World Trade Center Observatory
