Hello and welcome to the Traveling Tour Guide blog!
We are MaryKate and Alex; we’re a newly married, travel-loving couple who decided to start a blog. This blog is a place to find reviews of attractions, restaurants, and destinations, as well as photos, ideas, and travel tips. We will be posting itineraries from our trips that show what amazing things we fit in, and what we found was the most efficient order. We love to see as much as possible when travelling!
We’ll be sharing information about our past trips, as well as future ones! Most recently, we traveled to Hawaii for two weeks on our honeymoon! But we have also visited England, Scotland, the Netherlands, France, Belgium, and several destinations in the US in the past two years, and we’ll be posting about those too!
Our home bases are Rhode Island, Washington DC, and Boston, so you’ll also see us posting a lot about these places. MaryKate has worked as a tour guide in Washington DC and Newport, RI for several years. This blog will include many US-domestic trips. In fact, we want to visit all 50 states before we turn 50 years old! (We still have plenty of time). So there will be a lot of information about US travel, but also a fair share of international trips!

We traveled to the islands of Oahu, Maui, and Kauai. We will also post our itinerary (which can be found here) and discuss what we loved about the many towns, beaches, excursions, food options,and countless other travel tips and recommendations that may help you if you are planning a trip to any of the Hawaiian Islands!
